Caladium 'Spring Fling' is a pink fancy-leaf caladium with broad, heart-shaped foliage and a lifted seasonal habit. The leaves carry a strong rose-pink surface framed by green margins and traced with green veins. Each blade rises on a slender petiole from the tuber, creating an upright clump with colour held clearly above the pot.
This cultivar develops its leaves during warm, active growth. New leaves appear from the base in succession, increasing fullness as the tuber roots and pushes fresh shoots. In cooler, darker conditions, leaf production slows and the plant can shift toward seasonal dormancy.
Caladium 'Spring Fling' develops from an underground tuber, with each leaf carried on a separate petiole. The tuber stores energy during the quieter phase and produces new growth when warmth, moisture, and light return.
The colour pattern is concentrated across the leaf surface, with green margins and veins giving the soft pink tissue definition. Container height and fullness depend strongly on tuber size, warmth, light, and moisture stability. Old leaves can be removed at the base once they naturally yellow.
Raised petioles hold the pink blades above the pot, making the green margins and veins visible from above and from the side.
Place Caladium 'Spring Fling' away from pets and children that may chew leaves. Insoluble calcium oxalate crystals in the plant can irritate the mouth, throat, and digestive tract; wash hands after cutting damaged tissue.
The genus name Caladium is generally traced to Malay keladi. Caladium 'Spring Fling' is a rose-pink fancy-leaf cultivar that grows from a seasonal tuber.
Rose-pink blades rise from the warm-growing tuber on slender petioles, forming a lifted seasonal crown.
