Hoya caudata 'Gold' is an exotic Southeast Asian epiphytic cultivar known for its rugged, leathery leaves and warm orange blooms. Its foliage appears hand-painted, with deep olive to brownish-green tones mottled by pale silver-green blotches. When mature, this slow grower rewards with fragrant, starry flowers and a wild, sculptural growth habit that thrives in hanging pots or on climbing supports indoors.
'Gold' is one of the few Hoya caudata forms with orange blooms – most caudata types flower in cream or light pink. Its rough-textured, heavily veined leaves and slow, deliberate growth pattern set it apart from more common Hoyas. It's a collector favorite for a reason: wild, earthy, and full of character.
The genus Hoya is named after Thomas Hoy, a British botanist. The species name caudata refers to the “tailed” sepals seen in its unique flowers. These long, tapering sepals give each bloom a striking, spurred appearance.
Bring home this rare-textured, orange-blooming gem. Order Hoya caudata 'Gold' now and enjoy an untamed, tropical centerpiece that thrives with minimal fuss.
