Epipremnum aureum 'Neon' is a chartreuse pothos with glossy heart-shaped leaves and long flexible vines. New leaves often open in a bright yellow-green tone before settling into clearer lime-green. The leaves stay solid chartreuse to lime-green.
Indoors it grows as a vigorous trailing or climbing vine. The stems form aerial roots and new shoots from their nodes, so the plant can be trained up a support, left to trail, or pruned back when vines become too long. In warm, bright conditions it usually grows strongly, but low light can still make the stems stretch and the colour look duller.
'Neon' usually grows quickly when kept warm and bright. Its main care risks are stretched stems in weak light, wet roots in a cool room, and leaf marks from harsh sun.
It still needs enough light to grow well. In very low light, vines become thinner, internodes lengthen, and the chartreuse colour can look flatter. Gentle bright light supports better growth, while harsh direct sun can leave marks on the glossy leaf surface.
Epipremnum aureum 'Neon' has calcium oxalate crystals in its leaves and stems. If eaten, it can irritate the mouth and throat. Keep leaves and cuttings out of reach, especially after pruning.
