Alocasia zebrina is known for green arrow-shaped leaves and distinctive zebra-striped petioles. The upright stems show dark banding against a lighter green base, while narrow sagittate blades are held high above the pot on tall, patterned petioles.
The stem pattern carries strong visual detail, especially when the petioles remain visible between the leaves. Place it in bright softened light, warm indoor temperatures and an airy aroid mix that drains well while retaining light moisture in active growth. Water after the top layer has begun to dry. The leaves and stems contain calcium oxalate; keep the plant away from pets and children.
