Tillandsia usneoides, or Spanish moss, grows as long draping silver-green strands that hang, sway, and soften hard edges better than almost any other air plant. It needs no pot and barely any structure, but it does need more regular moisture than many people expect, especially indoors where heated air can dry it quickly. Bright indirect light, frequent misting or periodic soaking, and above all good airflow after watering keep the strands flexible and prevent dieback or rot in dense hanging masses.
Because it can be divided and rearranged easily, it is ideal for branch displays, wall pieces, and open terrariums where you want movement and texture rather than a compact rosette sitting in one fixed place. Fast drying and open airflow matter more than display style.
