Philodendron 'Red Anderson' Variegata combines glossy green mature leaves with burgundy stems, red-tinged new growth and irregular pale variegation. Young leaves bring the strongest contrast, then settle into greener blades while the stems and petioles keep deeper red tones. Chewed Philodendron tissue can irritate the mouth, so place it out of reach of pets and small children. As the plant lengthens, it can be trained upward so the nodes and aerial roots stay close to a slim support, with a chunky aroid substrate around the roots.
