Caladium 'Red Flash' is a bold seasonal cultivar with oversized heart-shaped leaves showing deep red centres, dark green margins, and pink spotting that gives the foliage a saturated, almost stained look. Indoors it can reach about 60–70 cm tall in active growth, filling visual space quickly even before the tubers have produced many leaves.
Bright indirect light, warm temperatures, and humidity above about 60% help maintain the colour and keep the thin leaf tissue from crisping at the edges. Keep the substrate evenly moist but never stagnant, use a loose mix with strong drainage, and reduce watering once the plant begins its normal dormancy cycle. Tubers can be divided when dormant, and all parts contain calcium oxalate. It works best as a clear focal plant rather than a background filler.
