Anthurium dressleri hybrid changes markedly as it grows, with new leaves opening red, shifting through bronze or gold-brown, and finally settling into dark green velvet. That progression means the plant can carry several colours at once, while the leaf shape and venation remain clearly influenced by dressleri. Compared with more delicate velvet species, it often shows a bit more vigour and adaptability without losing the dense, matte surface that gives leaves depth.
Bright indirect light, stable warmth around 19–27°C, and humidity at 70% or higher help new foliage harden cleanly. Grow it in a very airy mix with bark, perlite, coconut chips, and a small moisture-retentive component, then water after the upper 2–3 cm have dried. It suits growers who want colour change without glossy leaves.
