Eucalyptus cinerea, often called silver dollar eucalyptus, is a fast-growing evergreen with rounded juvenile leaves in blue-grey to silver tones. The aromatic foliage is the main feature, especially on young or regularly pruned plants where the round leaves remain prominent for longer. It suits bright, airy container culture or outdoor growing where light is strong, drainage is sharp and the roots have room. Pruning can keep the plant leafier and more manageable in a pot, especially when grown for juvenile foliage. Eucalyptus foliage is unsafe if ingested, so keep it away from pets and children that chew plants.
