Begonia rex 'Midnight Magic' uses a classic spiral leaf form, deep green upper surface, and glowing red margins and undersides to create a plant that changes character with angle and light. Backlit or slightly elevated, Begonia rex 'Midnight Magic' becomes much richer, because the red edge and reverse surface suddenly come forward.
Its rhizomatous, compact growth keeps the foliage gathered into a decorative mound, while occasional pink flowers add a seasonal bonus without distracting from the leaf display.
