Anthurium papillilaminum x 'Dark Phoenix' is a dark velvet Anthurium hybrid with elongated heart-shaped leaves, fine pale venation and deep mature colour. New leaves can open in bronze, burgundy or red-brown shades before hardening into a darker green surface. The plant has narrow velvet blades shaped by colour change, fine veining and elongated foliage.
Keep it warm in bright diffused light and avoid letting the root zone swing between soggy and bone dry. Pair a chunky aroid substrate with careful watering and higher humidity while soft new leaves are opening, when edges and tips mark most easily.
