Elongated, lobed leaves give Anthurium decipiens a lighter, more dissected look than most broad-bladed Anthuriums, and the pronounced venation keeps that shape readable as the plant matures. It behaves as an epiphyte that benefits from support, often becoming more dramatic when allowed to climb. Indoors it can reach around 60–90 cm.
Bright indirect light, high humidity, and temperatures around 18–24°C encourage steadier growth, while an organic, breathable mix helps roots stay moist without stagnating. Water often enough to keep the substrate evenly moist, but let the surface dry slightly between waterings. A pole or trellis helps the plant develop clearer leaf dissection over time.
Like other Anthuriums, it contains calcium oxalate and should be kept away from pets and children.
