Xiaomi Mi Plant Sensor – App-Connected Monitor for Soil and Light
The Xiaomi Mi Flower Care Plant Sensor tracks soil moisture, light intensity, temperature, and an estimate of soil fertility directly in the pot. Linked to the Mi Home app, it helps you understand what is happening around your plants instead of guessing.
The database in the app includes care profiles for thousands of species, so you can see when your plant is outside of its recommended ranges.
What it tracks
- Soil moisture: helps you avoid both chronic dryness and constant saturation.
- Light intensity: shows whether your plant actually receives its target light, not just what looks bright to your eyes.
- Temperature: highlights cold drafts or oven-like hot spots.

App setup and daily checks
- Pairing: Pair via Bluetooth in the Mi Home app, then assign the sensor to the correct plant.

- Move and compare: Move the sensor between pots to compare light and moisture in different spots.
Probe and battery care
