Syngonium podophyllum 'Panda' has mint-green mottled foliage on juvenile arrowhead leaves, with green and paler mint sections broken across the blade. New leaves can vary in pattern density as the plant produces fresh growth from its nodes.
The plant grows from nodes and can shift from a compact young plant into a trailing or climbing aroid. A support encourages upward growth and larger leaves over time, while pruning keeps the plant fuller in a pot.
The leaves of Syngonium podophyllum 'Panda' show a green-to-mint mottled pattern across the blade. Some leaves may carry more pale marbling, while others stay greener, giving new growth visible variation across the plant.
Nodes along each stem can produce aerial-root points, which makes support useful once the stems become longer. The same plant can also be kept as a fuller pot plant through regular pruning above nodes.
Syngonium podophyllum 'Panda' is not pet-safe if chewed. Its leaves, stems and sap contain calcium oxalate crystals that can irritate the mouth and throat.
Syngonium podophyllum belongs to Araceae and is a climbing aroid species with juvenile arrowhead leaves. The genus name Syngonium refers to joined floral structures, while podophyllum refers to stalked leaves.
