Syngonium âPink Perfectionâ (also known by trade name âPink Dreamâ) is a vibrant cultivar of Syngonium podophyllum known for its glowing pink foliage with green margins. Itâs a statement piece for plant lovers who want bold colour with manageable care.
Leaves are arrow-shaped, emerging with blush-pink tones that deepen with maturity. Variegation includes green edges or patches, which frame the pink centre and make the contrast pop. Growth habit is typically vining; indoors this variety stays fairly compact if regularly pruned or encouraged to climb. Colour intensity depends heavily on light exposure.
Syngonium podophyllum Schott is native to tropical forest understories in Central and South America. In its home habitat it grows as a hemiepiphyte â starting on forest floors, then climbing trees using aerial roots. Juvenile leaves are simple arrowheads; mature foliage can show more variation in shape. This cultivar follows the speciesâ general habits but is selected for its pink-variegated foliage. (No verified authority/publication for âPink Perfectionâ found in major botanical registries at time of writing.)
Contains calcium oxalate crystals â toxic if ingested or chewed. Keep away from pets/children. Rare in some regions, which contributes to its desirability. Growth is moderate; leaf size depends on light and support. Expect leaves in the range of ~10-20 cm under good conditions. Colour variation may occur between specimens.
Genus Syngonium comes from Greek syn (âtogetherâ) + gonÄ (âovaryâ), referring to fused female floral parts. The species epithet podophyllum means âfoot-leaf,â referring to juvenile leaf shape. The cultivar name âPink Perfectionâ (and âPink Dreamâ) reflect the idealised pink foliage sought in this variety.
Want foliage that glows with pink shades and makes a bold indoor statement? Order Syngonium âPink Perfectionâ now and let this cultivar brighten up any room.
