Schismatoglottis sp. is a rare, undescribed species admired for its decorative foliage. The leaf blades are mid- to dark-green and adorned with light green to silvery splashes, giving them a shimmering, textured look. Compact and elegant, this plant makes a subtle but striking addition to any rare aroid collection.
Members of the genus Schismatoglottis are found across tropical Asia, usually growing in humid understories near streams and forest floors. They prefer consistent moisture and shade, making them ideal for terrariums, greenhouses, or indoor spaces with stable humidity. This particular form remains undescribed, but shows the genus’ trademark resilience and ornamental appeal.
This plant maintains a compact, clumping growth habit, making it well suited for smaller containers or terrarium settings. The silvery variegation stands out when combined with darker-leaved plants, offering strong contrast in foliage displays.
The genus name Schismatoglottis comes from Greek: schisma, schismatos (“separating”) and glotta (“tongue”), referring to the deciduous upper part of the spathe in many species.
With silvery-splashed foliage and compact growth, this Schismatoglottis sp. is a subtle but rare treasure. Order today and enjoy its refined beauty in your collection.
