Epipremnum pinnatum aureum 'Cintho Goldfinger' has yellow-green and cream streaking on elongated climbing Epipremnum leaves. The leaves are elongated and patterned in yellow-green, cream and green, with each new node adding another slightly different leaf to the stem.
This tropical aroid climber roots from nodes. A vertical support gives the aerial roots a surface to grip and can lead to broader leaves. Indoors, 'Cintho Goldfinger' can also be kept as a fuller pruned vine.
'Cintho Goldfinger' produces leaves one by one along a flexible stem. The pattern can shift from leaf to leaf, with some blades showing stronger yellow sections and others carrying finer streaking. Because variegated tissue contains less chlorophyll than green tissue, growth is steadier when the plant has enough light, active roots and hardened leaves before major pruning.
As a climber, this plant can be shaped in several ways. A vertical support helps the nodes attach and can lead to broader leaves as the stem matures. Regular tip pruning keeps the pot fuller and provides cuttings for propagation from healthy nodes.
This Epipremnum contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals, which can irritate the mouth, lips and digestive tract if chewed or swallowed. Keep it away from pets and small children, including fresh cuttings, pruned stems and fallen leaves.
Epipremnum comes from Greek roots meaning “upon” and “trunk”, describing the genus’ natural climbing habit. Pinnatum means feathered or pinnate, linked to the divided adult leaves that Epipremnum pinnatum can develop.
