Caladium ‘Pink Beauty’ is a pink fancy-leaf Caladium with medium to large heart-shaped leaves. The blades carry soft pink colour, fine red or pink vein detail and green margins that frame the leaf clearly.
Leaves rise directly from the tuber on upright petioles. While the plant is warm and growing, new leaves come up from the crown. Older leaves may fade as newer ones develop, especially later in the cycle.
In warm, steady conditions, upright petioles rise from the tuber. New leaves come from the crown while older leaves may fade later in the cycle. A firm tuber can rest and restart when warmth returns.
If a spathe and spadix appear, they can be removed after fading.
Caladium ‘Pink Beauty’ contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals. If eaten, plant tissue may cause mouth and throat irritation. Keep away from pets and young children.
Foliage Caladiums trace back to tropical American species, especially Caladium bicolor. The genus name Caladium comes from Malay keladi.
New leaves usually show the strongest pink through the centre, with green along the edge.
