Aglaonema ‘Crete’, also sold as ‘Siam Aurora’ and ‘Jungle Red’, has glossy green leaves outlined in vivid red to pink. The same colour follows the midrib and continues into the petioles, creating a complete warm framework around each pointed blade. Uneven yellow-green mottling softens the darker centre, and the width of the coloured edge changes naturally between leaves.
Coral is brightest on newly opening foliage, before the middle deepens to green. As the leaves lengthen and firm, their red margins become more sharply defined and the mottling separates into clearer areas. Several shoots eventually produce a full plant with red running through both young and mature growth. Older leaves keep their elongated shape and glossy finish, while the newest blades bring brighter coral tones to the centre.
