Schismatoglottis sp. Borneo 'Silver' is a compact tropical aroid with dark leaves and silver-toned patterning. New leaves emerge close to the base, forming a low clump around the crown.
It prefers warm, humid conditions, filtered light and an airy root zone. The crown sits close to the substrate, so excess moisture around the base can become a problem quickly.
Schismatoglottis sp. Borneo 'Silver' forms a tight aroid clump, with new leaves emerging from the base. The silver pattern can vary from leaf to leaf, especially as leaves mature and harden.
The compact crown needs moisture and air around the base. Constantly wet, stale substrate can damage the growing point, especially in cool rooms or closed setups with poor airflow.
Keep this aroid away from pets and small children. Chewed Schismatoglottis tissue can irritate the mouth and throat.
