Dischidia ovata 'Melon', also known as Watermelon Dischidia, is a trailing epiphytic vine with oval succulent leaves patterned by pale veins that resemble watermelon skin. Slender stems can hang or climb lightly, showing the foliage pattern along the length of the plant. Grow in bright indirect light to dappled filtered light; stronger light may bring a reddish blush to the leaves. Use a loose, well-draining epiphytic mix and water when the top few centimetres have dried. Warm conditions, humidity above average household dryness, and good airflow help maintain firm leaves and healthy roots. Its patterned leaves make the plant easy to identify.
