Dischidia imbricata is a tropical epiphytic vine with fleshy, kidney-shaped leaves that can overlap tightly against a support like small green shingles. The stems may trail or twine, producing roots along the nodes when humidity and contact with bark, moss or a mount are available. This species suits bright indirect light, warm temperatures, good airflow, and a very airy epiphytic mix. Water lightly after the upper mix has dried and let excess water drain fully. Raised humidity helps the plant attach and grow evenly on a textured support. A mounted setup or rough support shows the shingling habit clearly.
