Dieffenbachia ‘Green Magic’ pares the usual Dieffenbachia pattern down to deep green and one clean cream-white line. Each broad leaf has a prominent pale midrib through an otherwise almost solid blade. The firm satin surface and gently impressed veins make the central stripe especially crisp.
New leaves open a fresher green and deepen as they harden, increasing the contrast with the ivory midrib. Growth develops into a full upright clump, with mature leaves gaining width and a rounded shoulder. The deep green field and single ivory midrib create a restrained, uncluttered pattern. Although the name ‘Sterling’ is sometimes used for this plant, ‘Sterling’ is a separate patented cultivar.
