Dieffenbachia ‘Cool Beauty’ has compact elliptic to ovate leaves with an unusual outside-to-inside colour sequence. A clean white margin outlines the blade, a dark to medium green halo follows it, and the innermost section is light green to yellow-green. The green midrib stays visible through the paler centre, and the same variegation occurs on both leaf surfaces.
Short foliage and abundant leaf production give this cultivar a dense, low profile. Basal shoots broaden the plant into an outward-spreading clump, while individual leaves remain smaller than those of ‘Tropic Marianne’. New leaves may vary slightly in colour intensity with light and temperature, but the white margin and green interior halo are the defining pattern.
