Caladium 'Casey' is a compact cultivated Caladium with heart-shaped leaves in green, pink and pale cream-white tones. Some leaves show stronger pink veining, while others carry more pale speckling or lighter patches.
Its compact growth keeps the plant contained in smaller pots. The leaves come up separately on slim leaf stalks, forming a tidy cluster above the pot.
New leaves can show a different balance of green, pink and pale markings. Once the leaves fade, keep the tuber dry until warmth and light moisture start growth again.
Like other cultivated Caladiums, 'Casey' grows best with warmth, filtered light and light, steady moisture while it has leaves. It should then be kept drier while resting.
Caladium 'Casey' can be propagated by tuber division. Divide only mature, firm tubers with a visible bud or growing point on each section.
Keep Caladium 'Casey' out of reach of pets and children. The leaves, leaf stalks and tuber contain calcium oxalate crystals, which can irritate the mouth, throat, digestive tract and skin if plant tissue is eaten or handled after damage.
'Casey' is used for this compact cultivated Caladium with green, pink and pale patterned leaves.
