Yellow-white primary veins form a bold framework across the long glossy leaves of Alocasia sanderiana ‘Nobilis’. Deep scallops cut into both edges, the rear lobes extend sharply and purple colouring may cover the reverse beneath the dark upper surface.
Short juvenile blades have a simpler outline and shallower edge movement. Later foliage lengthens, darkens and develops the full jagged kris-like shape as the plant reaches roughly 60–80 cm indoors. Each mature leaf combines a narrow point, bright venation and repeated marginal cuts. These features have remained associated with the old cultivated name across generations of grown plants.
