Alocasia 'Prince of Curup' is a compact to medium Alocasia with dark green, ridged blades and raised veins. Shadow collects around the venation, giving the leaves a firm, sculpted look.
Keep it warm, give bright indirect light and use a loose mix that stays lightly moist around the roots after watering.
Water thoroughly, then let excess water drain away. A loose mix keeps light moisture around the roots while allowing air to move through the pot.
Like other Alocasia, this plant contains irritating calcium oxalate crystals. Place it away from pets and children that may ingest the leaves, and wash your hands after cutting old leaves.
'Prince of Curup' takes its trade name from Curup in Bengkulu, Sumatra. The plant is grown for its dark ridged blades, raised venation and compact rhizomatous habit.
