Aglaonema ‘Silverado’ divides each long lance-shaped leaf into three colour zones: a grey-green centre, a deeper intermediate area and a clearly defined dark-green edge. Mature blades reach about 32 cm long and become thick, leathery and subtly cupped, causing the central surface to catch light differently from the margin.
Expansion widens the initially narrow pale zone, lengthens the tapered blade and gradually introduces a gentle arch above the light-green petioles. The softly feathered boundaries continue to show all three greens after the leaf has hardened. Basal shoots increase the plant’s fullness over time, while the long proportions and slight cupping remain visible on mature foliage. Older blades feel especially substantial and display the strongest contrast between centre and outer edge.
