Salmon-pink midribs, leaf stalks and scattered markings give Aglaonema 'Salmon Fantasy' its warm colouring. The glossy green leaves develop from a compact crown, which gradually becomes a rounded clump as new shoots mature.
Pink tones continue through the stems and leaf bases, so the colour sits through the crown as well as across the foliage. In bright filtered indoor light, the pink pattern stays visible without sun marks on the softer leaf areas.
Aglaonema 'Salmon Fantasy' needs the warmth typical of Chinese evergreens. Aglaonema species occur from north-eastern India to Papua New Guinea, mainly in warm, shaded tropical habitats where leaves grow under filtered light rather than direct sun.
In a pot, this cultivar develops through regular new leaves and a compact crown. The warm salmon-pink colour is most visible through the leaf stalks, midrib and scattered leaf markings.
Aglaonema 'Salmon Fantasy' contains irritating calcium oxalate crystals. Eaten leaves or stems can cause mouth and throat irritation, so choose a position beyond the reach of pets and small children. Sap may also irritate sensitive skin after cutting.
Its colour is strongest across the whole crown, with green leaves, pink leaf stalks and salmon-toned midribs giving the plant a warm, layered look.
