Rhipsalis pilocarpa begins with upright young stems that arch as they lengthen. Fine white bristles line the branches from young growth through to mature stems.
Branching is often concentrated toward the outer parts of older stems. More branched tips spread around the edge of the pot over time, while the longer stems begin to hang.
