Philodendron 'Lisa' is a compact self-heading hybrid believed to combine the darker metallic finish of one parent line with the burgundy flush of another, producing foliage that opens deep red and matures to dark green with a subtle metallic cast. The undersides often retain a richer red tone, so the plant carries layered colour rather than a single flat shade. Most specimens stay around 50–90 cm indoors, making them easier to place than large climbers while still giving strong visual weight.
Bright, indirect light helps maintain the best contrast, and humidity between roughly 60 and 80% supports broader, glossier leaves. Use a chunky aroid substrate, water after the upper layer has dried, and keep the plant warm and steady.
This is a toxic philodendron grown mainly for nuanced colour shifts on a tidy upright rosette.
