Philodendron brandtianum aff. 'Wild Form' is a larger, thicker-leaved relative of standard Philodendron brandtianum, retaining the silver streaks and mottling of the familiar form while moving more readily toward mature-looking foliage indoors. It climbs readily when given a support, and that matters because a pole helps the leaves broaden and flatten instead of staying small and juvenile.
Bright, indirect light keeps the silver pattern stronger, while watering after the top 2–3 cm of substrate has dried helps avoid the yellowing caused by stagnant mix. Temperatures around 20–28 °C, humidity from 60–80%, and a loose substrate with bark, coir, and perlite suit it well.
It is uncommon in trade and useful for growers who like brandtianum’s silver pattern but want a plant that sizes up more convincingly. Like other philodendrons, it is toxic if ingested.
