Philodendron billietiae
The exceptional reach of Philodendron billietiae is hard to miss. Narrow, arrow-shaped leaves hang from very long leaf stalks that can range from greenish yellow through golden tones to pale orange, often with fine purplish markings.
The leaves are dark green and slightly glossy above, paler underneath, with long lower lobes around a deep central opening. New foliage can carry reddish colour. As the plant climbs, the long stalks hold the leaves well away from the stem and create the broad, open shape that makes this species so distinctive.
