Monstera sp. Velvet (Peru)
Dark green juvenile leaves emerge along a compact stem. Each elliptic-to-lance-shaped blade has a matte-to-velvety surface, with fine veins clearly visible across it. The leaves are whole or only minimally perforated at this stage.
The compact stem may creep before taking on a climbing habit as the plant establishes. Later leaves may become larger. Their mature shape remains unknown.
