New shoots rise from the base and branch along their length, carrying leaves from low on the stems through to the growing tips. As more shoots develop, the plant fills out sideways and upward while remaining leafy along most of the stems. Mature plants form a rounded shrub that remains compact enough for a plant stand or a small floor space.
