Dracaena masoniana ‘Dragon’ is built around broad, thick whale-fin leaves marked by bold horizontal mottling. Each paddle rises separately from the underground rhizome, with no visible cane connecting it to the leaves beside it. On a young plant, one large blade can dominate the entire outline.
Later shoots emerge at separate points around the base. Over time, the plant changes from a single upright paddle into a group of overlapping whale-fin leaves with different heights and angles.
