Dracaena bacularis 'Fernwood Punk' has the same cylindrical leaf type as other Fernwood forms, but the foliage is arranged in a looser spikier clump that feels more informal. The plant stays relatively narrow at the base while building busy upright texture above, with deep green leaves and lighter horizontal striping.
It behaves like a dry-adapted Dracaena rather than a thirsty tropical, so the care priorities are bright indirect light, a sandy or gritty succulent mix, and allowing the pot to dry completely before rewatering. Average indoor humidity is enough, temperatures around 18–26 °C suit it well, and slow to moderate growth means it holds shape for a long time.
Division or leaf cuttings are both possible for propagation, and it is still considered toxic if ingested by pets or humans.
