Begonia listada forms compact shrub-like clumps with velvety dark green leaves marked by a single bright lime stripe and backed by burgundy undersides. The pattern is simple but very clear, and because the internodes stay short the plant presents as a neat mass of foliage rather than a loose cane framework.
Bright shade keeps the stripe crisp without scorching the velvet surface, while a humus-rich, airy mix and even moisture support regular new growth. It tolerates ordinary room culture better than many terrarium begonias, but moderate to high humidity still helps keep the edges unblemished and the texture clean. Occasional pruning encourages bushier growth if stems start to stretch.
For growers who want one strong graphic feature rather than silver splashing or heavy bullation, Begonia listada is one of the clearest and easiest foliage choices.
