Glossy hanging leaves between 90 cm and 1.8 m long can develop on mature plants of this strap-leaf Anthurium.
Established plants can develop blades approaching 2 m in length while remaining remarkably narrow. Fine parallel veins add restrained texture to the smooth green surface. The mature plant occupies vertical space below the pot, while juveniles give only a small indication of the eventual leaf length.
Anthurium vittariifolium produces narrow strap leaves that become progressively longer with age. Young foliage is short, bright green and fairly upright. Mature leaves turn darker, firmer and pendant, hanging well below the base.
