Anthurium 'Queen of Hearts' is a compact foliage Anthurium with firm, leathery leaves that mature to very dark green, almost black. New leaves open in red, bronze or chocolate tones before darkening.
The leaves grow from a central crown on upright petioles. They can size up as the plant matures, especially with warmth, even moisture and an airy root zone.
Keep Anthurium 'Queen of Hearts' away from pets and children. Like other Anthuriums, it contains calcium oxalate crystals that can irritate the mouth, throat, skin and eyes if plant material is eaten or sap gets on sensitive skin.
Anthurium 'Queen of Hearts' is a cultivated foliage Anthurium. It is often linked to Anthurium 'Ace of Spades' in cultivation, but its exact parentage is not confirmed. The genus Anthurium is native to tropical parts of the Americas, and the name Anthurium comes from Greek words meaning “flower” and “tail”, referring to the spadix.
