Aloe ‘DZ’ forms a compact rosette of glaucous-green leaves with raised red ridges and small red marginal teeth. The red surface detail sits above the muted green leaf base, giving each leaf a firm, textured finish.
Thick overlapping leaves build a dense central crown that stays close to the pot. Bright light and a drying root zone keep the rosette tight between waterings.
The rosette builds from thick, triangular leaves held close together around a central crown. The red ridges sit above the green leaf surface, while the marginal teeth continue the red detailing along the leaf edges.
Aloe ‘DZ’ keeps a tight outline when the crown receives bright light and the root zone dries between waterings. Its compact structure also makes crown moisture easier to spot before soft inner growth develops.
Aloe ‘DZ’ is not grown as an edible Aloe, and chewing pets should not have access to it. The small red marginal teeth can scratch skin during repotting or cleaning.
Aloe ‘DZ’ was introduced through International Succulent Introductions in 2010 from Karen Zimmerman’s hybrid work, with the direct cross recorded as Aloe ‘Confetti’ × kz#1. The cultivar name honours Debra Zimmerman.
The plant’s main details stay close to the rosette: glaucous leaves, raised red ridges and tooth-edged margins.
