Pink Variegated has dark reginula-type leaves with cream to blush-pink sections across the matte surface. Some leaves remain mostly green, while others show stronger pale or pink areas.
Short petioles rise from a small corm, keeping the leaves grouped closely above the pot. The leaf surface is matte and slightly velvety, with pale veins running through both dark and light areas.
This form belongs to the compact Alocasia reginula group, a small tropical Alocasia linked to Borneo, with the same small base and dark leaf texture.
Indoor flowering is occasional; the flower is the usual aroid spathe and spadix.
The name reginula comes from Latin and means “little queen”, fitting the plant’s compact habit.
Good light supports steady growth; the pink and cream pattern still varies naturally from leaf to leaf.
Handle gently. Pale areas are more delicate and mark easily.
Like other Alocasia, this plant contains calcium oxalate crystals. Keep it out of reach of pets and children.
