Yellow, lime and gold spread through the huge glossy leaves of Alocasia macrorrhizos ‘Aurea Variegata’. Fine marbling can gather into long streaks or immense warm sectors, while strong veins preserve the broad arrow shape across both green and aurea tissue.
The upright base thickens into a trunk and can support growth beyond 2 m indoors. Successive leaves gain size, deeper waves and a firmer surface, stretching the pattern across far larger areas. Yellow tones often become stronger as a leaf matures. Several generations remain overhead together, each showing a different scale and distribution of gold across the expansive canopy.
