Metallic copper, red and deep green tones define Alocasia cuprea 'Red Secret'. The rounded peltate leaves have a reflective surface, dark margins and a firm texture, with colour shifting from coppery red to green-black depending on the angle of light.
The plant grows as a tight jewel Alocasia clump, keeping the glossy rounded foliage close to the pot. Bright filtered light helps the leaf sheen and colour contrast stay visible, while a chunky aroid substrate supports airflow around the rhizome. Water once the upper layer begins to dry. The foliage contains calcium oxalate; keep it away from pets and children.
