Deep veins divide the thick shield-shaped leaves of Alocasia cuprea ‘Red Secret’ into raised metallic panels. New growth often opens rose or copper-red and darkens towards bronze-green, while the underside remains burgundy-purple. Short stems hold the broad leaves close around the centre. The shallow roots suit a low pot filled with a loose, fast-draining mix.
