Spring Red is a horticultural Aglaonema cultivar selected for dark-green leaves traced with coral-red to pink veins and carried on pink petioles. It retains the upright, clumping habit associated with Chinese evergreens.

Aglaonema is native to tropical and subtropical Asia. Its wild relatives grow as evergreen understory plants beneath filtered forest light, renewing from short stems near the base as the clump develops.
