Aglaonema 'Red Zircon' is a compact Chinese evergreen cultivar with glossy pink-red leaves, dark green edging and green accents through the blade. It grows from a short central crown and stays small for a long period, with each new leaf adding colour while the plant remains contained in its pot.
The foliage has a saturated centre framed by dark green margins, giving even young plants a defined outline. Its compact root system and slow clumping habit need careful pot sizing, measured watering and warm placement.
Aglaonema 'Red Zircon' forms leaves from short stems and slowly gains width as basal shoots mature. In small pots, moisture levels can shift quickly, so regular checks keep watering better matched to the root zone.
The red-pink leaf tissue is easiest to appreciate on firm, clean leaves in warm, steady conditions. A stable position with softened light, warm roots and airy substrate keeps the crown firm and the new leaves clean.
