Aeschynanthus ‘Japhrolepis’
Aeschynanthus ‘Japhrolepis’ sends out fine, flexible stems lined with very narrow light green leaves in close opposite pairs. Short sections of stem remain visible between the blades, giving each trail a light, threadlike texture as it extends beyond the pot.
New branches form from the nodes and gradually thicken the hanging growth around the base. Mature shoots can carry red tubular flowers at their tips, projecting beyond the fine foliage.
