Sedum makinoi 'Tornado' is a creeping succulent cultivar that spreads through short branching stems packed with small, fleshy green leaves. The plant gradually covers the pot surface as a low mat, making shallow containers and bright positions more suitable than deep, slow-drying pots. Its leaves store moisture, and the root zone should dry well between watering rounds. A coarse mineral or succulent substrate and gentle handling help protect the compact stems from softening or leaf drop.
