Rhaphidophora megasperma produces long slender climbing stems and shorter side shoots with leaves set closer together. Smooth lance-shaped to oval leaves sit along the slender stem. Older leaves may develop rounded or diamond-shaped openings near the central vein.
A tall support carries the main stem. Open space around it gives the shorter branches room to extend.
