Philodendron gloriosum dark form keeps the creeping rhizome and broad heart-shaped foliage of Gloriosum, with deeper green colouring across the velvety blade surface. The darker tone makes the pale veins more pronounced, especially on mature leaves. Growth remains horizontal from the rhizome, with each new leaf rising separately along the crawling stem. As the surface stem extends, rounded leaves appear at different points rather than from one central crown. Over time, the plant spreads into a low display with deep green velvet texture and bright vein contrast.
